But what is that green grenade doing next to the battery?
This might or might not be floating off to a far away land to a not so unfamiliar character soon.

That’s keeping it grounded, you know, to the ground.
So, is that an XM or a Xantia? Or maybe BX?

That’s what I was gonna say, but then I noticed it was bolted to the strut.

It’s an oleopneumatic suspension sphere.
BX seems to match.

Pretty sure it’s a goblin testicle. I would not buy a car with a green goblin testicle.

Pretty sure that’s a warning of things to come.

In Finland a Citroën “grenade” actual caused bomb squad to called on the scene when one used one had been left in a parking lot. This happened 10 years ago in one semi large Finnish city.

GIS says it’s a BX. Or maybe Xantia - this particular corner looks the same on the pictures i found....

Is that a Citroen? or a Citroen-era Maserati?
It looks like a hydraulic accumulator to me. A reservoir for holding pressurized hydraulic fluid and pressurized air on either side of a diaphragm barrier between the two.
Citroen used those on cars that had hydraulic control systems (Citroen SM, and some Maseratis while Citroen owned Maserati in the 1970s) and hydraulically linked suspensions (Citroen DS).
Other cars may use them, too.

In the U.S. a similar thing happened when a farmer found one buried in his land - the bomb squad came to diffuse a land mine. It took them all day to figure out it wasn’t a bomb at all.

Duurtlang’s getting a Citroen! Duurtlang’s getting a Citroen! Duurtlang’s getting a Citroen! Duurtlang’s gett.....
Finally!
It was about time. “The force was strong with this one.” “Ying and Yang wil be aligned again.” Whatever.

It is a BX. A 25 year old diesel. With power locks with remote (from the factory!), yet manual steering.

Would you willing to buy one with multiple of those
goblin testicles
? This picture is from the same car.

Ha! Who said it was for me though? I did add a line of text after the last picture, which might have something to do with a certain number combined with French forced induction.

Citroen obviously!
maybe BX , CX?

I knew that you wouldn’t keep it. But still!!!!! Enjoy your time with it, and then send it off. Maybe just to get it out of your system or whatever.

for sure, multiple goblin testicles are always the way to go
